Upper Court... With a coaching archway leading into a courtyard
full of flowers and topiary with three of
the original coaching buildings now converted
into holiday cottages. Guests have the run of
the 15 acres of garden and grounds which
centre around the beautiful 2 acre lake, a
wilderness that is home to a variety of wildfowl,
swans, ducks and geese that all love to
be fed! Also an ideal place for a romantic
picnic or to take the boat out - a children’s
paradise. The millstream and watermill (now
ruin) are mentioned in Doomsday Book
(1086) and the Dovecote and Watermill
Cottage overlook the lake.
Terrific for just two or for a big family reunion.
The same comfortable stylish feel applies to all
5 properties around the splendid Cotswold
Georgian Manor - Upper Court. All benefit
from the lake, grounds and lovely gardens.
The Herford’s love antiques and their good
taste with genuine understanding of what’s
needed (they’ve been welcoming guests for 31
years), make for a happy experience. The
Dovecote, a romantic hideaway for 2, overlooks
the lake. Stables, Courtyard and Coach
House can seat 24 (in Coach House) and can
be interconnected for an extended party.
Watermill overlooks the lake,
and is an early 18th century gem.
The Manor is ideal for a fairytale wedding -
a perfect setting for those treasured wedding
photographs, Civil Wedding Ceremony License.
Also for Corporate entertaining and training.
Recommended by the Daily Telegraph as an
ideal hen party venue. Our chef (ex Claridges Hotel) will cater for all
tastes, diets and occasions.
Kemerton is one of several villages renowned for
their beauty, on the foot of Bredon Hill (famed
for A E Houseman’s poem of that name.) The
village shop and The Crown, a friendly village
pub which serves excellent food in the restaurant,
are a few minutes walk up the lane from
Upper Court. The hill goes up to 1,000 feet
with remains of an Iron Age fort at the top,
with views of The Malvern and Cotswold hills
and on a clear day you can see 5 counties.
Tewkesbury is our nearest town (4 miles) on
